As Term 1 draws to a close, we can reflect on what we have accomplished so far in the school year. Our learners have just wrapped up NAPLAN, and I want to give a big shout-out to our teachers, SLSOs and tech support who have worked tirelessly to give students the best shot at demonstrating what they have learnt.

Our students had lots of fun as they dressed up in Orange, bought special goodies from the canteen and completed activities in class on Harmony Day to celebrate our diversity. If you haven’t checked out our Harmony Day facebook post, I encourage you to do so.

Our Swimming and Athletics Carnivals had great representation and as always, we encourage all students to adhere to our school motto, “Participate and Achieve”.

Weather permitting, our X-Country Carnival will take place this Friday, 4th April. A reminder is given that there will be no Stage 2 and 3 Assemblies held this week however, Stage 1 Assembly will take place for Kinder and Year 1 students as usual but with an earlier start time of 10.15am as 1st break will be earlier.

Looking ahead, next week we will still be in full flight. On Tuesday afternoon we will hold our annual Easter Parade with all students which proves to be a popular event for both children and parents. Our annual ANZAC Day service will be held on Friday 11th April to pay tribute to the sacrifices of members of the Australian Defence Force and honour Australia’s military history. If you are in Orange on ANZAC Day, we would love to see as many children as possible join us for the ANZAC March (details for these events provided separately).
