We are on the Trail….
Orange Edible Garden Trail
Now in its second year, this weekend-long event on 15–16 March 2025 will celebrate the many and diverse ways that residents of Orange are growing food. Orange Edible Garden Trail is a self-guided weekend of open private gardens that are growing food.
These gardens are large and small, old and new, tidy and Wild. The Edible Garden Trail movement has been growing for years around Australia. Each Trail is locally run and independent, celebrating and showcasing their own community, for the benefit of the community.
This year the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden will be on the Trail
Calare Public School will be opening our gates to ticket holders from 10.00am – 12.00noon on Sunday 16th March
The event is not for profit - funds are used to provide grants to community food growing projects such as school kitchen gardens and other community initiatives. These grants enable recipients to enhance their gardens by funding items such as gardening tools, seeds, soil, compost, mulch, building materials, kitchen equipment, or even training for educators.
To purchase your ticket or for more information please visit the Website Orange Edible Garden Trail
https://orange-edible.garden
After buying a ticket you will receive an email with list of gardens and addresses closer to the date. Please support this wonderful community initiative and we look forward to seeing you on the trail.
